State administrative officers to receive common professional allowance
A common professional allowance of Rs 15,000 would be provided to state administrative officers irrespective of their service period, the Government Information Department said.
Cabinet approval to this effect had been granted yesterday (Oct 1) upon recommendations of the cabinet sub-committee appointed to resolve salary anomalies.
Other state officials entitled to receive professional allowance too would receive a similar payment.
Previously, these officers had been granted an allowance ranging between Rs 3000 and Rs 15000 based on their service duration.
