All state institutions belonging to the Northern Provincial Council will be given a holiday today (Apr 22), Nothern Governor Suren Raghavan said.
The Governor explained that this decision was taken after considering the safety of the employees at these institutions.
Mr. Raghavan further observed that some employees had difficulties in finding transportation to and from work due to the current situation in the country.
Accordingly, these state institutions will be kept open on another day, the Governor's office said.
