All state universities will re-open for academic activities from today (Oct 14) after a 33-day long strike by non-academic staffers which ended last Friday.
L.D.J Richmond, Media Secretary of the Joint University Employees Trade Union Organisation, said that the strike had been called off after officials had pledged to resolve their issues.
The strike had been based on salary anomalies.
Mr. Richmond added that all weekend courses at state universities will also resume this week.
