The President’s office in a statement said today that it has been revealed that various requests were being made to admit children on the grounds that it was a request from the President, Prime Minister or other senior state officials.
The statement said that even government officials were issuing such letters.
“Action will be taken against principals for violating the order”, the statement said.
The directive came as grade one school admissions were underway.
