A Filipino national and two locals were arrested for operating two illegal communication hubs in Mulleriyawa and Korathota respectively.
It has been revealed that the Filipino national, a woman, was the wife of one local who was also taken into custody by the Special Task Force.
Thirty smart mobile phones, more than 1700 SIM cards, 16 routers and hi-tech communication devices were recovered from the two facilities.
An air rifle and a sword had also been seized from the suspects.
