STF, Navy arrest 21 illegal migrants
Twenty-one individuals who had attempted to leave the country illegally were arrested following a joint operation carried out by the STF and Navy personnel last afternoon.
Meanwhile, three individuals who had co-ordinated the illegal migration attempt have also been taken into custody, Police Spokesman Ruwan Gunasekara said.
The suspects were arrested at a residence in Siyambalapitiya along with two vehicles and Rs 600,000 that was found to have been in their possession.
