STF thwart illegal migration attempt by 26 individuals in Kilinochchi
Special Task Force (STF) personnel have arrested 26 persons who were attempting to illegally migrate to Canada via seas off Kanagapuram, Kilinochchi.
The suspects were arrested when STF personnel were tipped-off prior to their departure. They will be produced before the Kilinochchi District Courts today, police said.
Kilinochchi Police are investigating further to uncover more information on the migration attempt.
