Summons have been issued on 10 individuals including former Central Bank governor Arjuna Mahendran to appear before the Special High Court on July 19 over the Bond Scam case.
Attorney General Dappula de Livera had filed indictments against the suspects at the Special High Court today (Jun 28).
Charges have been levelled against the suspects under 23 counts, State Counsel Nishara Jayaratne, the co-ordinating officer to the Attorney General (AG) said.
The AG had previously sought permission from the Chief Justice to file indictments against these suspects at the Special High Court.
Some suspects have been charged under Section 56 of the Registered Stock and Securities Ordinance while the others have been accused of divulging confidential information of the Central Bank to a third party entity.
