Sun to be directly overhead Ja-Ela, and several areas tomorrow : Met. Dept.
The sun will be directly overhead at Ja-Ela and several other areas tomorrow (Sept 3), the Meteorological Department said.
Issuing a weather forecast, the Department predicted that the sun will also be overhead the Ganemulla, Anguruwella, Dambagolla, Ambanporuwa and Kotagoda areas tomorrow afternoon.
Meanwhile, showers could also occur in the Western, Central, Sabaragamuwa, Southern and North-western provinces, the forecast read.
In addition, the Uva Province and the Ampara and Batticaloa districts could experience thundershowers after 2 pm tomorrow.

SLAF Bell 212 crashes into Maduru Oya
A Sri Lanka Air Force Bell 212 helicopter belonging to the No. 72 squadron has crashed into the Madhuru Oya reservoir this morning, Air FOrce Media Spokesman Eranda Geeganage said.
