The Supreme Court today issued an order, prohibiting dumping garbage collected by Colombo Municipal Council (CMC) in Muthurajawela area. The order is valid till July 20.
The court directive was issued when a petition filed by 35 residents who live near Muthurajawela Sanctuary was taken up for hearing today. The petitioners seek interim order directing authorities not to store or dump garbage in the area.
