The Mawathagama Police has arrested a 29-year-old suspect along with 1000 narcotic pellets meant to be sold to school students.
Police Media Unit stated that the suspect was arrested during a raid on a shop selling ayurvedic medicines in Mawathagama town last evening along with the pellets.
Further investigations have revealed that the 1000 narcotic pellets found from the shop were meant to be sold to school students., police added.
The suspect is a resident of Kaduruwela and is due to be produced before the Pilessa Magistrate today (10).
