A suspect has been arrested with forged currency notes amounting to Rs 175, 000 from Morawewa.
Police Media Unit said the suspect was arrested last night along with 16 forged Rs 5000 notes and 95 forged Rs 1000 notes in his possession.
The suspect was identified as a 52-year-old resident of Trincomalee. He is due to be produced before the Trincomalee Magistrate's Court today (31). Morawewa Police are investigating.
