A suspect who is accused of having links to extremist groups was arrested by the Special Task Force (STF) in Kalmunai today (May 22).
STF personnel acting on a tip-off had arrested the suspects during a raid carried out in the area.
A DVD containing extremist content, two SIM cards, and a mobile phone were seized from the suspect at the time of the arrest.
The suspect had been handed over to the Kalmunai Police for further investigations.
