A person who attempted to purchase jewellery using counterfeit notes was arrested in Kekirawa.
The suspect, a 26-year old had been nabbed with seven Rs 5000 counterfeit notes, police said.
He had been arrested upon a tip-off provided by employees of the jewellery shop.
