A suspect has been arrested with around 53 kilograms of cordite - a low explosive in Puthukudiyiruppu, Mullaitivu yesterday (Nov 19).
The arrest had been set in motion upon a tip-off received by Special Task Force (STF) officers attached to the Jaffna Camp.
Police said that the suspect had been in the possession of the explosives without a valid license.
The Puthukudiyiruppu Police are conducting further investigations into the suspect.
