Suspect nabbed with four grams of heroin receives life imprisonment term
A three-wheel driver who was nabbed with 4.3 grams of heroin was sentenced to a rigorous life imprisonment term today (Jun 17).
The suspect, who is a 38-year old father of three was found guilty over the possession of narcotics before the Colombo High Court today.
He was arrested during a raid carried out in Wellawaya on August 13, 2011.
The Attorney General had filed charges against the suspect under counts of possessing and trafficking narcotics.
