A suspect was arrested at the Kunjikulam Police road block in Madu while trying to smuggle 12.6 kilograms of Kerala Ganja hidden inside a double cab vehicle.
The double cab was making its way towards Colombo when police stopped and searched the vehicle.
The suspect is a resident of Mannar and police believe he has been smuggling Kerala Ganja for some time. He is being questioned under detension orders.

Former President Mahinda Rajapaksa is due to vacate his official residence at Wijerama Mawatha, Colombo this morning, a Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) source said.
The Presidents’ Entitlements (Repeal) Bill was passed by a majority of 150 in parliament today. However the opposition MP’s were absent during the voting.
