Eight persons accused of involvement in an elephant racketeering case were ordered to be remanded until the conclusion of the case by the Colombo High Court.
During today's hearing, High Court judge Vikum Kaluarachchi announced that indictments would be served on the accused when the case is taken up for further hearing on August 2.
Elephant racketeer Niraj Roshan alias 'Ali Roshan' is also among the acused in the case.
A bail request for the suspects had been rejected by court since the Attorney General (AG) had decided against releasing the suspects on bail.
