TNA parliamentarian Mano Ganesan has said that discussions regarding the formation of the Democratic National Front (DNF) will commence from the first week of January next year.
MP Ganesan said that talks will involve religious groups, political parties, trade unions and civic groups.
He also added that initial steps have been taken to establish the new Front as per the suggestions of Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe.
Mr. Ganesan further noted that the leaders of all parties belonging to the UNF will take efforts to bring together all political forces which support democracy. Adding that within a six-month timeframe, would rally the support of the people belonging to all ethnic backgrounds starting from Point Pedro in the North to Dondra in the South.
