A group identified as Tamil Eelam Cyber Force is reported to have carried out cyber attacks on several Sri Lankan sites today (May 19).
Previously, CERT had detected that several websites which were registered under the '.com' and '.lk' domains including that of the Kuwait Embassy in Sri Lanka had faced a cyber attack this morning.
According to CERT, the attacks had taken place with ease since precautionary measures had not been taken place to protect such sites from cyber attacks.
