A teacher was arrested in Balangoda yesterday (Dec 06) for abetting a private candidate to cheat during the GCE Ordinary Level examinations which is currently underway.
It is reported that the teacher had sent the answers to the student via a mobile phone during the English examination which was held yesterday.
According to the Balangoda police, the teacher and the student have been identified as residents of Rasasgala and Depalamulla in Balangoda respectively.
