A school teacher was sentenced to two years of rigorous imprisonment after she was found guilty of attacking a student in 2011.
The teacher was convicted during a hearing at the Kurunegala High Court yesterday (Feb 01).
High Court Judge Menaka Wijesundara had also ordered the 55-year old teacher to pay a compensation of Rs 100,000 to the student.
