The fault at the second unit of the Norochcholai coal power plant is in the process of being repaired, a spokesman for the Power and Energy Ministry said.
A team of experts had conducted an inspection last night and had identified the technical failure of the system. However, certain parts of the country may face intermittent power failures until the fault is completely rectified. Intermittent power outages in certain areas could be experienced in order to balance the power system.
However, this situation will be completely restored by this afterrnoon, the spokesman said.
