A teenager died in a motorcycle accident near the Sirimangala Watte junction in Piliyandala yesterday.
Police said the incident occurred when the victim lost control of the motorcycle and crashed into a lamp post and a three-wheeler.
He was travelling towards Jaliyagoda from Kesbewa at the time of the accident.
The teenager, a resident of Piliyandala, died upon admission to the Piliyandala Divisional Hospital.
Meanwhile, the three-wheel driver and a passenger who sustained injuries in the collision are receiving treatment at the Colombo South Teaching Hospital.
