The temporary ban imposed by the National Security Council on issuing explosives, after considering the country's security situation, has been lifted upon the directives of the President, the Ministry of Defence today (May 29).
Accordingly, the amount of explosives required by private and public organisations can be obtained using a permit from the District Secretary, from the Commercial Explosive Fire Arms Procurement Unit (CEFAP).
Explosives required to carry out legalised excavation and quarry activities could be obtained from the District Secretariat offices by producing a permit / license issued by the District Secretary.
