A tense situation was reported when the Wattala Pradeshiya Sabha was convenedthis morning local media reported. According to reports a group of members from the Pradeshiya Sabha were demanding that Chairman of the Pradeshiya Sabha resign from his post. The demonstrators had forcefully removed the Chairman from the Pradeshiya Sabha premises during the heated exchange. Later on the Pradeshiya Sabha convened before the Deputy Chairman.
A Sri Lankan man was apprehended at Suvarnabhumi airport for attempting to smuggle wildlife out of the country after three ball pythons were found hidden in his underwear, the Bangkok post reported.
