The term of the Parliamentary Select Committee (PSC) investigating the Easter Sunday attacks was further extended by Parliament today till October 31.

The term of the Parliamentary Select Committee (PSC) investigating the Easter Sunday attacks was further extended by Parliament today till October 31.
The PSC was set up on May 22 and its term had already been extended once till September 30.
However, its term was again extended till October 31 today to give the PSC further time to finalize and submit its report.
The PSC questioned a range of witnesses during its investigation including the Prime Minister, Government Ministers and senior Security Forces Commanders.
PSC members are due to record a statement from President Maithripala Sirisena on Friday (20).
