President Maithripala Sirisena today said that the terrorist attack in Lahore yesterday was a dreadful act of cowardice."Sri Lanka stand in unity with the people and the government of Pakistan in this hour of grief."
In his message of condolences to the Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, he said he was saddened by the news and all forms of terrorism targetted innocent civilians.

The terror attack in Lahore yesterday is a dreadful act of cowardice. I am saddened by the news and condemn all forms of terrorism targeting innocent civilians.
My condolences are with the families and the loved ones of the victims and I wish speedy recovery to the injured.
Securing the lives of the people in the region is an uncompromised responsibility of the South Asian nations and Sri Lanka stand in unity with the people and the government of Pakistan in this hour of grief.
