The third extension of the Colombo Outer Circular Expressway (OCH) is expected to be completed by September, the Road Development Authority (RDA) said.
Construction activities on the third phase of the OCH began on January 1, 2016, with the road spanning 9.6 kilometers expected to run from Kadawatha to Kerawalapitiya.
The construction of the OCH was divided into three phases with the first phase being from Kottawa to Kaduwela, the second from Kaduwela to Kadawatha and the third from Kadawatha to Kerawalapitiya.
According to the RDA, the total cost for the project has been valued at Rs 66.7 billion and aims to connect the Kottawa-Matara (E-1) expressways and Colombo-Katunayake (E-3) highways.
