Three Acting Ministers sworn in before the President today

News

Deputy Minister Buddhika Pathirana, parliamentarians Lucky Jayawardena, and Anoma Gamage have been appointed as Acting Ministers to fill certain vacancies created by Muslim ministers.

The appointments were made at the Presidential Secretariat this morning. Accordingly, the acting ministers are as follows :

Buddhika Pathirana - Acting Minister of Industry & Commerce, Resettlement of Protracted Displaced Persons and Co-operative Development and Vocational Training & Skills Development
Lucky Jayawardena - Acting Minister of City Planning, Water Supply and Higher Education
Anoma Gamage - Acting Minister of Highways, Road Development & Petroleum Resources Development

All Muslim Ministers, State and Deputy Ministers to resign : Rauff Hakeem
