Three suspects were arrested by the Police in Valvettithurai at around 3 pm today (Jan 26) with kerala cannabis weighing 110 kilograms.
Valvettithurai police had made the arrest following a tip-off when the haul was about to be transported. Accordingly, a lorry was also nabbed by the police along with the suspects.
The suspects have been identified as 19, 45, and 52 year olds and are residents of Valvettithurai and Chunnakam.
According to the police, over 2130 kilograms of kerala cannabis have been seized from the North during the past one and a half years.
The suspects are due to be produced before the Point Pedro Magistrates Court tomorrow.
