Three suspects were arrested by Dankotuwa Police yesterday (Feb 08) over the possession of over six grams of heroin.
The suspects included a member of a millionaire's family, the cook of a restaurant and another individual, police said.
Investigations have revealed that the said family member had spent between Rs 10,000 and Rs 20,000 for the purchase of heroin on a daily basis.
The final rites of veteran broadcaster, writer, and lyricist Nirmala de Alwis will be held today at Peradeniya.
