Three Bangladeshi nationals were arrested at the Army road block in the Haputale area yesterday (April 30), Haputale Police said.
The lorry that the individuals were travelling in along with its contents which included copper wires and other wires were seized.
Police said the individuals were from a private company in Nawala. Further the individuals claimed that they were repairing telephone lines around the island. However as the visas they held were not originals they were arrested.
The individuals will be produced before the Bandarawela Magistrate's Court
