Three fishermen rescued as boat capsizes in Hikkaduwa seas
Three fishermen have been rescued by the Navy after their boat had capsized in seas off Hikkaduwa today (Aug 30).
Acting upon information received by the Police, Officers attached to the Navy Rapid Response Rescue and Relief Unit had taken swift measures to rescue the fishermen.
According to the Navy, the boat had toppled due to rough seas experienced in the area. The fishermen have been brought back to the shore, Navy said.
