A three-member committee has been appointed to investigate the derailing of the 'Yal Devi' express train yesterday (Nov 27), Railways Superintendent Gamini Seneviratne said.
He said the train was being removed and repairs to the track attended to.
The train from Kankesanturai to Colombo derailed near the Galgamuwa Railway Station, disrupting rail services along the Northern Line.
Train services Colombo along the Northern Line have been limited upto Ambanpola while trains from Jaffna have been limited upto Galgamuwa.
