Three more make cash deposits; total presidential candidates increase upto 20
Three more presidential candidates made their cash deposits today (Oct 2) bringing the total number of candidates for the November 16 vote upto 20.
The Election Commission said that so far 10 candidates from recognised political parties have placed their deposits along with 10 independent candidates.
Individuals hoping to contest at the poll could make their deposits until October 6.
Those who placed their deposits today are as follows ;
- A.S.P. Liyanage - Sri Lanka Labour Party
- Samaraweera Weerawanthi - Independent Candidate
- Ashoka Wadigamangawa - Independent Candidate
