Four police officers have been killed while intercepting the suspects believed to be involved in the explosion at Dematagoda.
The police officers were killed while they were inspecting a house in which the suspects were residing in the area. Explosives were said to have been discovered at the residence, security sources told Times Online. Special Task Force (STF) and Police personnel are conducting further investigations into the incident.
Meanwhile, it is reported that area residents have been advised to evacuate their homes following the incident.
