Three police teams probe shooting on SAITM CEO
Three police teams have been deployed to probe last night's shooting that allegedly targetted Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the South Asian Institute of Technology and Medicine (SAITM), Dr. Sameera Senaratne.
Dr. Senaratne had been on his way home when two unidentified men on a motorbike and wearing full-face helmets allegedly shot at his car. Several bullets had struck the vehicle causing damage.
The Government Analyst's Department has also sent a team to the scene of the shooting. The assailants remain at large and investigations are ongoing. .
