A three-wheel driver, resident at Aruppola, was found guilty of driving under the influence of liquor in the Kandy town without a driving licence and was fined Rs. 25,000 and sentenced to three months imprisonment.
He was produced before the Kandy Chief Magistrate Buddhika Sri Ragala on December 6.
Kandy police in the prosecution said that the suspect was convicted of traffic offences twice in the past.
