Tissa Attanayake forgery case postponed

The Colombo Fort Magistrate yesterday postponed the case which involved the alleged forging of a document by former Health Minister Tissa Attanayake to January 13, 2016. When the case was taken up for hearing, the CID informed Magistrate Priyantha Liyanage that it was yet to receive the legal advice of the Attorney General regarding the case. Attanayake is accused of falsifying the signatures of President Maithripala Sirisena and Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe during the recent presidential election campaign.
