The Tamil People's Alliance has decided to boycott todays (Nov 15) meeting with President Maithripala Sirisena at the Presidential Secretariat.
"We will not attend the meeting with the President today morning at his secretariat" TPA Leader Mano Ganesan said taking to his official Twitter account.
He added that his party is of a firm view that 122 MPs have passed the no-confidence motion in Parliament yesterday.
Meanwhile, MP Ganesan said that he called on the President along with MPs Rauf Hakeem and Rishad Bathiudeen yesterday with the knowledge of UNP leader Ranil Wickremsing to "defuse the crisis situation"
He further noted that there is neither a Prime Minister nor a cabinet in the country today and therefore the President should appoint individuals to the vacant positions.
He said as the President had not accepted the NCM as indicated in his letter to Speaker they would not be meeting with the President as they would not accept that position of the President.
