The travel ban imposed on the fourth defendant in the D.A. Rajapaksa memorial museum case has been lifted from April 29 until May 07.
The permanent high court trial-at-bar had given permission to the defendant, Keminda Artigalle, to attend a special conference in South Africa during this time frame.
Mr. Artigalle has been named as the fourth suspect in the case pertaining to the misappropriation of state funds worth Rs 33.9 million in the construction of the D.A. Rajapaksa memorial museum.
Court also announced that the case would be taken up for further hearing on March 28.
Meanwhile, attorneys representing the second, fifth, sixth, and seventh suspects, had filed preliminary objections before court today (Mar 21). Accordingly, the Attorney General would file counter-objections on March 28.
The case was taken up before Justices Sampath Abeykoon, Sampath Wijeratne, Champa Janaki Rajarathne earlier today (Mar 21).
