A 58 year old Tuk-tuk driver was killed today in a train accident when he tried to cross the road in Chettikulam, Vavuniya, Police said.
Preliminary police investigations revealed that the tuk-tuk which the victim was driving was collided by a Colombo bound train when he tried to cross the road using the railway gate at Thudarikulam. The victim was pronounced to be dead on the admission to hospital. Police are conducting further investigations.
