Twelve Indian fishermen who were engaging in illegal fishing actvities in Srilankan territorial waters off to Neduntheevu, Jaffna were arrested, Navy said. Two of their trawlers were also seized.
The arrested fishermen are to be handed over to Fisheries Department officials for further legal action.
