Two arrested for posing atop a chaitya at Mihintale Rajamaha Viharaya
Two suspects have been arrested by officials of the Archaeological Department for posing atop a Cheithiya at the Mihintale Rajamaha Viharaya today (Feb 14).
The suspects who have been identified as 18 and 20-year old residents of Muttur were handed over to the Mihintale Police.
They are due to be produced before the Anuradhapura Magistrates Court tomorrow (Feb 15).
Mihintale Police are carrying out further investigations.
