Two suspects were arrested with Rs 70, 000 worth of forged currency notes in Eragama, Damana last night (23).
Police said officers conducted a raid based on a tip-off and arrested the suspects with 14 forged Rs.5000 notes in their possession. A motorbike used by the suspects was also taken into custody.
The suspects, aged 34 and 37 years, are residents of Vedikkara Road, Damana. They are due to be produced before the Ampara Magistrate's Court today (24).
