Two foreign nationals were arrested at around 10:15am today with 90.78 grams of cocaine in Peliyagoda today (Feb 07).
The suspects have been identified as an Israeli and an Italian national aged 25 and 36 respectively.
It has been revealed that the suspects had arrived in the country on a tourist visa and had been engagin in drug peddling.
Personnel belonging to the Peliyagoda Special Vice squad that made the arrest have handed over the suspects along with the cocaine to the Police Narcotics Bureau for legal action.
Further investigations continue.
