A sub-inspector attached to the Special Task Force (STF) was arrested with another individual while transporting kerala cannabis worth Rs 500,000 today (Feb 20).
It was revealed that the sub-inspector was a resident of Bibile and was attached to the Kilinochchi Army Camp while the other suspect was a 39-year old resident of Kurunegala.
Police said that the suspects were caught while attempting to distribute the narcotic among the Horana and Panadura areas.
The suspects will be produced before the Panadura Magistrate's Court in due course.
