Two elephants were killed and another critically injured in two collisions involving speeding trains yesterday (Oct 21).
Accordingly, a Jaffna-bound train collided with two elephants thereby resulting in killing one and injuring another.
Meanwhile, another elephant was killed after a passenger train derailed near Palugaswawa.
