Two persons have died in an accident involving a tipper truck and a lorry in Kilinochchi this morning (Jul 4), police said.
According to the police, the drivers of both vehicles had died in the head-on collision.
The driver of the tipper truck and the lorry have been identified as 32 and 40-year olds respectively.
Their remains lie at the Kilinochchi General Hospital.
Police believe that the accident had been caused due to speed driving. Further investigations continue.
